Established since 1965, LEN and then transformed into a State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) in 1991. Since that time, Len was no longer an extension of the National Electronics Institute, but has become a professional business entity under the name of Len Industries. Len is currently under the coordination of the Ministry of State Enterprises.

During this time, Len has developed business and products in electronics for industry and infrastructure, and have demonstrated experience in the field:

• Railway signaling systems in different railway lines in Java.
• Electronics for defense, whether by land, sea, or air.
• Power Electronics Systems for electric trains.
• Thousands of Solar Power Generation System, which has been used by people in various parts of Indonesia and even overseas.

Business Len Industries conducted by the employees, managers and directors, led by Managing Director with guidance from the Board of Directors. Setup, Organization and the Committee periodically assessed by the principles and practices in place that refers to corporate governance.

The Board of Directors and the direkturs realize that the company's long-term desires are things that are advanced by the time they can do in response to community needs, customers, employees, government officials, shareholders and suppliers.
